Team Building

Caroline Frost Consultancy_Logo smaller PNG copyNone of us is smarter than all of us‘  (Japanese proverb)

Having had the privilege to have worked in some very high performing teams, I know how they can transform a project or a business.   Two of my best team experiences were climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in 2010, and then sailing across the Atlantic (2,900 miles) as part of a team of 12 shipmates, all focused on the same goal.

Most of us don’t get those kind of opportunities too often.   But we can experience teamwork at events and in workshops that help us be aware of just how we are functioning as a team. Where  are we doing well and what do we need to work on.

I love running Teambuilding events and have run them for groups of over 100, as well as for small teams of 5 people.    I tailor the events to the learning objectives and work with you to create experiences that give people the opportunity to try out new things in a ‘safe’ learning environment.

Having benefited from experiential learning I know how effective it can be and wherever possible I like to create learning experiences in whatever environment is available.

I often use DISC or Belbin, or both, as diagnostic tools for teamwork. These help the team look objectively at how they function and – particularly with teams that aren’t working well together – they take the focus off the individuals and on to the behaviours.
Here are a few comments from evaluations of team workshops and events that I’ve devised and run:
